On July 18th, 2016 at 06:00 am, the Winslow Township Police Department will be equipping all of our patrol officers and patrol supervisors with Body Worn Cameras. Once the plan is in place, there will be over 50 body worn cameras in circulation.

Our agency goal is to accurately document the events, actions, conditions and statements made during motor vehicle stops, pedestrian stops, arrests, disruptive arrest confrontations, medical responses and other critical incidents in order to verify the accuracy of incident reports, collection of evidence, and testimony in court. Recordings also enhance the ability to review procedures for the purpose of employee evaluation and training and prove transparency to the citizens that we protect and serve.
