Winslow Township Police History
The Winslow Township Police Department was established as a full time police department in the early 1970's. The first police station was located on Central avenue in the Blue Anchor section of the township. The department has grown in many areas since the beginning. Our department suffered it's most tragic loss on June 12, 1994 when Officer Calabrese responded to a domestic situation at a local restaurant. Shortly after Officer Calabrese entered the establishment, he was shot at point blank range by the suspect who then committed suicide. Officer Calabrese will forever be in our hearts.
